Terms of Service & SMS Notification Terms

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Jurat software platform, portal, or related notification services (https://demo.myjurat.com), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not access or use the services.

2. Service Description

Jurat provides a digital workflow and electronic document platform designed for law enforcement agencies. The platform facilitates the creation, review, electronic execution, and cryptographic sealing of official sworn statements, victim rights receipts, and administrative field forms.

3. Electronic Signatures and Legal Admissibility

All electronic signatures, initial verifications, and digital certifications captured through Jurat are governed by the Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (ESIGN, 15 U.S.C. § 7001), the Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (UETA), Florida Statutes Chapter 668, and Florida Statutes §§ 92.525 & 117.10. By electronically signing a statement, you affirm that the information provided is true and correct under penalty of perjury.

4. SMS Transactional Notification Program Terms

When a law enforcement officer creates a statement request or incident notification, you may receive SMS notifications:

  1. Program Name & Sender: Jurat Field Notifications, sent by Ultra Far Consulting, LLC (d/b/a Jurat). Messages identify Jurat as the sender and name the requesting law enforcement agency as the case context. All messages are strictly transactional and non-marketing.
  2. Types of Messages: Transactional one-time secure links (48-hour expiration) to view and electronically sign sworn statements, status updates, and critical legal intake reminders.
  3. Message Frequency: Message frequency varies per interaction (typically 1 to 3 messages per requested document).
  4. Rates & Fees: Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile wireless carrier plan.
  5. Opt-Out / Cancellation: You may cancel the SMS notification service at any time. Text STOP to any message received. Your carrier will confirm your opt-out, and no further text messages will be sent to your number.
  6. Support & Assistance: For assistance or technical questions, text HELP to any message, email jz@goultrafar.com, or contact the investigating law enforcement agency.
  7. Carrier Disclaimer: Wireless carriers (e.g., AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile) are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

5. Document Expiration & Retention

Secure links sent to affiants automatically expire forty-eight (48) hours from creation or immediately upon completion of dual signatures. Completed records are archived and retained in accordance with the originating law enforcement agency's statutory retention schedules and state public records laws (e.g., Fla. Stat. § 119.071).
